The story is a quintessential romantic attack on conventional bourgeois morality, arguing that a good heart is more important than propriety. The classic opera makes a social distinction which split the beau monde (high society) from the demimonde (the world of illicit sex). While lost love is sometime cruel and hyprocitial, the basic premise is that true love must triumph over all. The presentation of La Traviata is brilliant in its music, orchestration, voices and its staging. Considered one of the “best ever”, for our Festival patrons to enjoy.

This opera stars: Cinzia Porte, Saimir Pirgu, Giovanni Meoni, Dederica Carnevale. Features the Orchestra and Chorus Royal de Wallonie-Liege, with ConductorPailo Arrivabeni
