Saturn in Opposition is an up-dated, up-scale and very literate Italian version of 1983’s Big Chill. This modern, Italian version, tells a chatty story of an eclectic group of friends who rally together when the brightest light in the group suddenly dies. An outstanding ensemble cast of top Italian actors is led by Favino Pierfrancesco (Angels & Demons), Margherita Buy (Manual of Love, Not of This World) and Luca Argentero.

The tragedy leads to lots of waiting room scenes and whispered accusations, while the stress of the situation leads everyone to debate who loved the deceased Lorenzo the most. The final farewell scene is a study in light-handed direction, from Ferzan Ozpetek, currently one of Europe’s leading talents.

Nominated and winner of multiple David di Donotello, European Film and Italian Syndicated Film Journalist awards, Saturn in Opposition will thrill the most sophisticated film fans.
