If you are from Italy, or have visited Italy a few times, you recognize that the attitudes of provincial pride continue in modern times. People in the north of Italy have their impressions that the south is different and not as speciale , and vice versa.

This delightful movie captures the feelings of regional superiority in a warm and wonderful way. A very funny movie, that makes its points, with a great cast and directed by Luca Miniero. In the opinion of the Italian Film Festival selection committee, this film should prove to be the fan-favorite, as Marcello Marcello was in 2011.

Alberto (played by Claudio Bisio) is a postal worker who longs to be transferred to Milano, in the north. His wife shares this dream to be in the center of Italian fashion and sophistication. When the time comes for his transfer the disappointment is overwhelming, as he is sent to the south….near Naples. As the story unfolds the differences are luminous and the lessons learned are brilliant. This is a 2012 “must see” movie.

Running time: 102 minutes.
